Community Carer - North Kent & South East London, Kent
We are acting as agent for this client that is looking to recruit a number of permanent and bank positions throughout North Kent and Bexley.
Our client is a major provider of quality residential and community care for older people and those with special needs in Kent and South East London.

Job Description:
Community Carers required to travel to clients' homes in order to deliver services, to provide an extensive range of personal and social care services to dependent people in their homes in accordance with companies overall policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
1. Carry out tasks relating to clients? physical and personal needs, including help with dressing/undressing washing, bathing, shaving, dental and hair care, assistance to and from the toilet/commode, and dealing with incontinence problems.
2. Monitor the well being of clients. Identify where changes may be required in the care provided, and report any changes or matters of concern to the Area Community Coordinator.
3. Record information on clients? progress and complete necessary changes to the Care Plan.
4. Ensure that each client is content within his/her environment, and help/encourage him/her to maintain contact with relatives and friends.
5. Serve meals and drinks and feed clients as necessary.
6. Assist and escort clients as necessary to and from hospital, dentist, relatives etc.
7. Launder and repair, as necessary, clients? clothing and linen.
8. Assist clients with their shopping, finances and handling their allowances where necessary.
9. Attend and contribute to team briefings, meetings with senior staff and other professional groups at case conferences, reviews, etc, when required.
10. Complete forms such as time sheets.
11. Comply with the Health & Safety and fire regulations.
12. Attend training sessions/courses necessary to the performance of these duties.
13. Staff may be expected to carry out duties in addition to the above to support the client in his/her home.

Essential Experience/Skills
